How to fix a visible number field on a form
Have you noticed a visible number field on your WordPress forms after enabling our Anti-Spam plugin? The visible number field on the form looks like this:
This issue arises when cache plugins interfere with our styles, causing the number field to become visible. In this article, we'll guide you through a simple solution to fix this issue. Please note that this number field is actually our honeypot field, designed to catch spam bots.
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
- Identify the class ID of the honeypot field in your form. This class ID is unique for each web form. For Gravity Forms, the class ID is apbct_special_field apbct__email_id__gravity_form.
- Go to the settings of your cache plugin.
- Look for the plugin exception section for CSS (Cascading Style Sheets).
- Add the identified class ID of the honeypot field to the CSS exception list:
- Save your settings and clear your cache.
Once you've completed these steps, the honeypot field should no longer be visible in your forms.
Remember, the class ID varies for different web forms. If you're using a form other than Gravity Forms, you'll need to identify the correct class ID for your specific form.
We hope this guide helps you fix the visible honeypot field issue.
