phpBB 3.0: How to Update the CleanTalk Anti-Spam Modification

- Make backup copies of your forum files and database.
- Important! Your forum will be unavailable during the updating process due to the creation of folder "install".
- Important! The modification have to be deleted through its installation using AutoMOD tool.
- Go to phpBB Administrator Panel —> AUTOMOD. In the row with CleanTalk press "Uninstall".
- Confirm your actions on the next page by clicking "Uninstall" one more time.
- After the uninstall is finished click the line "Return to AutoMOD".
- In the "Uninstalled MODs" table find the row with CleanTalk and press "Install".
- Confirm your actions on the next page by clicking "Install" one more time.
- Then click the line "The MOD requires an external installer to finish the installation. Click here to continue to that step."
- An external installer will be launched. Choose "Uninstall" and press the button "Submit".
- Press "Yes" on the next confirmation page of your actions.
- When you succeed, go back to the Administrator Panel.
- Go to the tab AUTOMOD. In the row with CleanTalk once again press "Uninstall". Confirm the uninstall one more time on the next page. Then go back to the tab AUTOMOD.
- In the "Uninstalled MODs" table find the row with CleanTalk and press "Delete". Confirm the deletion.
- Congratulations with complete deletion of the modification. Now delete the folder "install" in your forum's root directory to restore your forum's functionality.
- Download the modification archive from CleanTalk (the link is at the beginning of this page or use the link given to you personally), place it in "/adm/mods".
- Install the Anti-Spam modification by going through the installation instruction beginning with item 5: [ https://cleantalk.org/help/install-phpbb3 ].
- (Optional) Test the protection by making a registration using the blacklisted e-mail stop_email@example.com.
Congratulations. The Anti-Spam is updated!

13. Go to the tab AUTOMOD. In the row with CleanTalk once again press "Uninstall". Confirm the uninstall one more time on the next page. Then go back to the tab AUTOMOD.
14. In the "Uninstalled MODs" table find the row with CleanTalk and press "Delete". Confirm the deletion.
15. Congratulations with complete deletion of the modification. Now delete the folder "install" in your forum's root directory to restore your forum's functionality.
